Homemade Protein Bars
Ingredients:
- 1 ¾ cups old fashioned oats
- ¾ cup peanut butter or other nut butter
- 1 banana, mashed
- ¼ cup honey or maple syrup
- ½ cup ground flax
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 cup protein powder
- Optional: handful of no sugar added chocolate chips, unsweetened dried fruit, chopped dates, chopped nuts
Steps:
- Mix all ingredients until well incorporated.
- Place mixture into an 11x7 pan and press down.
- Refrigerate for 1-2 hours or until firm.
- Store in a container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. You can also freeze bars for up to 3 months.
