Each year, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics chooses a theme to focus on for National Nutrition Month. The theme to celebrate in 2025 is Food Connects Us. Food connects us in so many ways, to our family and friends, culture, community and beyond. Many meals have a story behind them or someone you think of when you consume the meal. Cooking and sharing a meal with others is a chance to learn more about the ingredients used to make the meal and where the ingredients were procured from. It is a chance to connect and create memories and traditions with others. Cooking with friends or family is an opportunity to share a positive experience together, whether you are trying out a new dish for the first time or making an old family recipe. Human connection through food can be a very positive experience no matter what your health goals are.
